What is the infertility

What is Infertility?

Infertility refers to the problem in a woman, where she is either unable to conceive or carry her pregnancy to full term. Infertility rates have seen a huge rise in recent times, owing to a host of biological and environmental factors. An increase in age is also an important factor. Dr. Archana Dhawan Bajaj is one of the Infertility specialists in Delhi.

Pregnancy is a complicated process comprising the following stages:

The woman has got to produce eggs from at least one of her ovaries during ovulation.
It is also essential that the egg travel through the fallopian tube to the uterus.
In the meanwhile the sperm of the male partner must penetrate the egg which is the part of fertilization.
Finally, after the fertilization of the egg with the sperm, it must get implanted into the line of the womb.
However, contrary to popular perception, Infertility Specialists in Delhi are not always a woman’s problem alone. In fact, women account for only 40 percent of the cases of infertility, while the rest are due to men or even complications arising from both partners.
